Muscat, The Ministry of Manpower organized a workshop at the Higher College of Technology on developing partnership between Colleges of Technology and private sector institutions aimed at developing health, safety and risk management mechanisms. The opening of the seminar was sponsored by Hamad bin Khamis al- A'meri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Labor Affairs.

The seminar includes a number of working papers, most notably the current health and professional safety system, risk management at Colleges of Technology in the Sultanate, the importance of applying the standards and procedures of health and safety and risk management applied in work sites in private sector institutions.

The workshop also includes models of health, safety and risk management systems applied to the workplace of the private sector organizations, and a proposal to develop policies and procedures for health, safety and risk management in Colleges of Technology.
