Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education will begin on Monday its week-long induction session for students selected for the academic session 2018/2019 to go abroad for education on scholarship.
During the induction, the selected students will be provided important academic, statutory and living information relevant to the countries where they well be going to study during their scholarship time.

Lara bint Ghassan Obaidat, Director General of Missions, said: The achievement of students’ aspirations by getting foreign scholarship is accompanied by keenness of the ministry that the concept of scholarship and its purpose and the expectation of the Sultanate of these scholarship is to be completed.

This year the Ministry of Higher Education will introduce a code controlling the engagement of student with the Ministry and supervising authorities which based on finding a relationship subject to a clear understanding between the Ministry and students.

The ministry has urged students to be ambassadors for the Sultanate with their knowledge and ethics and morals.

The Directorate General of Scholarships is keen to educate students about the requirements of study abroad including personal safety rules and regulations and procedures of the Ministry and the laws of the countries of scholarship.
