  2. The Sultanate Participates in Arab Education Undersecretaries Meeting in Tunis

 Muscat, -- The Sultanate participated today in the meeting of undersecretaries of the Ministries of Education in the Arab World, organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).

The delegation of the Sultanate was headed by Dr. Hamoud bin Khalfan al-Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education and Curriculum and Deputy Chairman of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.

The aim of the meeting was to follow up on the implementation of the fourth objective of the 2030 sustainable development goals in the Arab world related to education: "Ensuring fair and inclusive education and enhancing lifelong learning opportunities for all".

The meeting also aimed at discussing the ALECSO vision document prepared by the Organization to follow up the implementation of this objective with the Arab countries, through taking some legislative, legal, technical and administrative procedures.
