Muscat, Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed al-Shibaniyah, Minister of Education today chaired a meeting with specialists at Oman Vision 2040 Office.

The meeting aimed at briefing the officials at the Ministry of Education on the updates for the Vision Plan Development and discussing education as one of the most important strategic aims for Oman Vision 2040.

 The meeting covered the dire needs for the school education sector and its direct linkage with the Ministry's plan to improve performance and provide education outputs with the necessary skills they need to succeed at higher education institutions and business sector.

The meeting also highlighted the needs of the Ministry of Education and the key development plans at the upcoming period especially with the launch of the 10th five-year plan that will mark the launch of Oman Vision 2040.

Talal bin Sulaiman al-Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Planning (SCP), Head of the Technical Committee for Oman Vision 2040 said that education is one of the key themes for Oman Vision 2040 and a key enabler to achieve its goals at the different sector.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Said bin Hamad al-Rub'aie, Secretary General of Education Council, Head of the Man and Community Committee.
