For the first time in the history of Injaz in Oman, the company, Nawa, won the award for being the best student company for the year 2018 in the Arab world. “Nawa” won the award at the Injaz Al Arab competition held recently in Kuwait. Additionally, “Nabateh” won the Fedex Award for the schools category, in addition to being nominated for the Best Innovative Product Award in the Arab world.

The event is part of the 12th edition of the regional competition for the achievement of the Arabs, which is held annually, and this year, 11 teams from 11 Arab countries competed.

Khawla Al Harthiya, Chief Executive Officer of Injaz Oman, said: “With the conclusion of each competition,we find ourselves strengthened with hope in our Omani youth, and this year, it was great to crown the efforts of our student company for the first time. We are excited to see what the future holds for Injaz students.”

On the occasion of the 2018 University Student Award, Mohammed Al Kabali from Nawa expressed his joy at the company’s achievement: “It was a great experience for us as students and a wonderful opportunity to dedicate our pioneering capabilities to innovation, advancement, and progress towards the future.”

'Nawa' company’s product called Qout was based on a mixture between the nuclei of dates and a group of local materials, which can be used as food for animals.

‘Nabateh’ won the FedEx School Award for their project, which involved turning plastic cans into seedlings with an aesthetic look.

“The award-winning moments were fantastic and they will remain in our memories. This win will be the beginning from which we will go ahead to achieve more successes in the future,” Sadam Al Mishaikhi from the Nabateh team said.
