Muscat: The National Youth Commission (NYC) said Oman will be represented by two women at the United Nations Youth Delegates Programme to be held in New York. NYC will make the joining official on Wednesday.
The programme in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Sports Affairs is based on the principle of promoting youth participation in advancing social, economic and political development, and the focus in the role of Omani youth in decision-making. The programme ensures the exchange of Omani youth experiences worldwide.
The Omani youths learn about the most important global issues facing young people around the world and the mechanism of their solutions, thus providing them with diverse knowledge and expertise to propose solutions and contribute to better political responses to the problems facing young people today.
