The annual Oman ELT Conference is organized by the Center for Preparatory Studies at the university. It is is a forum that provides local and international educators opportunities for sharing ideas, experiences, and best practices in English language teaching. The theme of this year’s conference will be “Innovative Approaches to English Language Teaching and Learning”.

The conference will be addressing a variety of topics concerning where the future of English teaching and learning is headed, as well as discussing ongoing professional development programs for teachers to improve upon their teaching. It will also be exploring the needs of students involved in scientific research in the 21st century, innovative ideas around change-of-thought and self-motivation, and the newest research that is being done in the field. A large number of ELT specialists from both private and public institutions will be involved, reviewing what they have learned, and exchanging their experiences with other participants at the conference.

This year’s ELT conference aims particularly at keeping abreast of the rapid change and innovative curricula that are currently being introduced by forward-thinking educators. The conference will provide opportunities to interact with experienced and interesting ELT experts from all over the world, as presenters and participants from North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East will be sharing their ideas, achievements, and hopes for the future. In bringing together such a diverse group of speakers and participants, the Oman 19th International English Language Teaching Conference will be a focal point for the further development of the field through an exchange of knowledge and achievements across cultures and institutions.
